The serene gardens were a good backdrop to our stay, complemented by charming hosts who were eager to help. Breakfast was a highlight, and we enjoyed seeing cassowaries wander by. The room felt quite humid at night without air conditioning, affecting our comfort.

Truly enjoyed my stay. Had fantastic stay for 4 nights during a North Queensland road trip with helpful staff and awesome location close to everything. My superior king room was attractive and clean with a large balcony looking over the gardens

During our two-night stay, we were truly captivated by the beautiful gardens surrounding our room. Spotting wild cassowaries wandering through the yard was a major highlight, making our mornings feel magical. The homemade breakfast each day, featuring fresh fruits and baked treats, was something we looked forward to and added a personal touch to our experience. We couldn't get enough of the vibrant wildlife and stunning pool area, which provided a perfect escape after a day out exploring nearby attractions like the Mission Beach Markets and Djiru National Park.

Location just off wildlife, comfortable rooms and clean rooms, and Mission Beach which is owned and managed by the most friendly and helpful of people. Very amiable and amicable staff all over the place...

The breakfast at Licuala Lodge was amazing, with good local ingredients and a fine outdoor setting. It's a treat not to be missed!
One downside was the lack of air conditioning in the Queen Room, unexpected given the warm climate in the area. It would be beneficial if this was clearly indicated in the room descriptions.

beautiful gardens, fine wildlife sightings, lovely pool
The lack of air conditioning made for a sweaty, uncomfortable night!!! A quieter fan option would be appreciated, as the current one disrupts sleep. The rooms could benefit from some updated décor as well!!!

This lodge looked nice, but the lack of air conditioning was a major letdown and definitely not expected for summer. And a fan that sounded like a jet engine made sleep impossible. Lastly, i woudl ve been thrilled with a little welcome gift or special treatment for enduring the discomfort. Guess that's too much to ask.
